A new challenge....and a little announcement...

A new challenge is up today at Crop Suey! It's the last challenge for the current design team and there are some amazing projects showcased by my creative compadres!! Check them out here! The challenge for this month is to make some embellishments using your paper scraps. Well, I took the liberty of using some ribbon scraps too! Using up old stash always makes me happy!
The spiral rose is made from patterned paper and inked with Colorbox ink.
But the stick pin butterflies are my fave!! I love stick pin embellishments but sometimes they're a bit bulky for the album, or whatever....so I hauled out a few of my mini punches and picked this Fiskars butterfly and started punching! (If you could give something a black eye with paper punching, that something has a bag of frozen peas on it's face right now!)

I layered several butterflies together, then sandwiched a stick pin between 2 sets of layers (with a hot glue gun) and then covered them with Diamond Glaze! Stinkin' CUTE huh??? THINK of all the varieties that you could make with the mini punches out there!!!
Head on over to Crop Suey to check out the rest of the DT's layouts, and get the lowdown on how YOU could win some goodies for playing along with us!

And now for the announcement??? We have a new design team at Crop Suey as well!! Returning to the team are Mia and Stacy (of course, it's their gig after all!) Natalie, Mara and myself, and NEW to the team are Laurel Seabrook and Jenny Dziekan! Click on their names and check out their work and give them a big ole hearty welcome!!
